ON LY OU is the stunning debut album for Gentry as Attaque and showcases a superior lot of dreamy, visceral modern pop fixed within a frame of layered, pinpoint perfect rhythm tracks (the sort of breaks achievable by a dance vet). Single “Future Earth” with Native Young is one of the most accomplished tracks in its style this year as Gentry’s varied palette does well in helping forge a unique but immensely listenable and affecting sound.
